Main Stage

It has become common to look back at 2016 and reflect on how much the global order has changed since then. Much of what was taken for granted in international relations at the time no longer holds, and Europe’s leaders are struggling to find their footing in an unpredictable world. Here we introduce a speaker who is exceptionally well suited to help us navigate the present—her latest book is titled “The Great Uncertainty: Navigating the Contradictions of Global Disorder”. How should EU countries manage external pressure while also staying united? What do current developments mean for European business? And what happens to defining issues such as climate and energy security when everything else seems to be shifting?
