Africa holds significant reserves of oil, natural gas and critical minerals essential to the global energy transition, industrial development and energy security. At the same time, unlocking this potential while reducing emissions requires new technologies, investment and stronger international partnerships.
This panel explores how Nordic technology, expertise and innovation can support African countries in developing their energy and mineral resources more efficiently and sustainably. The discussion will address opportunities across the value chain, from exploration and production to processing, infrastructure and emissions reduction.
Key areas will include reducing methane emissions and gas flaring, improving operational efficiency, developing downstream processing and enabling the responsible production of critical minerals.
The panel will also examine the opportunities for Nordic companies to build long-term partnerships in Africa, access emerging markets and contribute to projects that strengthen energy security, industrial development and the transition towards a lower-carbon energy system.
