Transport infrastructure integrating Northern Europe is emerging step by step. The Fehmarn Belt connection opens in 2029. Recently, the Danish state and the City of Copenhagen agreed to extend the Copenhagen Metro southwards, enabling a connection to the Öresund Metro towards Sweden.
