Urban Development Öresund Region

Transport infrastructure integrating Northern Europe is emerging step by step. The Fehmarn Belt connection opens in 2029. Recently, the Danish state and the City of Copenhagen agreed to extend the Copenhagen Metro southwards, enabling a connection to the Öresund Metro towards Sweden. In addition to Denmark, countries like Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland are getting closer to Swedish companies and consumers. What effects can be expected in Northern Europe regarding trade and industry? Is there a risk that Stockholm will fall behind? What role does today’s worrying geopolitical situation play?
