As Sweden’s tenth-largest city, Norrköping is developing a new central station in connection with the construction of the Ostlänken railway line. This is not merely a project that will transform the city’s dynamics. It is also characterized by a well-considered engagement process designed to build understanding of, and involvement in, the city’s development among its residents. In this context, the city uses advanced visualization technology at its public consultation meetings. Here, the chief project manager describes the urban development process and the benefits of the new technology.
